Emma and I continue to ask each other, "but what will happen when we finally are allowed to reopen our business?". Are we going to have to put awkward glass divisions on our tables? Is our team going to have to endure sweaty palms under latex gloves? Or a sticky face under masks during an 8 hour shift? There are many uncomfortable factors that have me questioning the future of hospitality all together. Why would people choose to socialize uncomfortably in a controlled environment when they can be in the comfort of their own home with whomever they choose?
Upon opening Mahalo (hopefully within a couple of weeks), we are planning to cater to exactly the best of both worlds. We want to offer a private dining and social experience just as you would be in the comfort of your own home, with your choice of up to 16 family or friends. You get the fulfillment of getting out of the house, being social, dining in a full service restaurant, but all under the safety and control of having your own private space. Luckily for us, Mahalo Cocina & Jardin has many private spaces allowing us to create a new way of dining. Choose between the "Salon Clandestino", the Las Clementinas Rooftop or up to 3 other options for your dinner party. As we know everyone's economic situation has been effected from this bumpy ride, we will also be allowing BYOB for the first 3 months, to allow people an accessible options to get out of the house and treat themselves. Dinner parties will start at $30 per person. Contact us for more details!
